ARRIVAL/DISMISSAL for the school year:
The tardy bell rings at 7:55 am.
The 7:50-7:55 time each morning is so important as that's when students unpack backpacks, turn in notes/homework/forms, and get settled for the day before the morning news comes on at 7:55. Please make it a goal to have your child to school by 7:45 every day!!!
Parent Drive: Families picking up their children from Parent Drive are REQUIRED to have a yellow card on their dashboard with the family name printed clearly on it, which needs to be visible through the front windshield. This helps to make Parent Drive run more efficiently. In the event that you do not have a yellow card, you WILL be redirected to the front office where your child will be waiting for you. There will be no exceptions to this. Yellow cards will be available at Meet the Teacher on 08/00/18 and in the front office. This goes into effect on the first day of school. Parent Drive expectations are stated on the back of the yellow card.
CHANGE OF TRANSPORTATION ON DAY OF CHANGE
As stated in the SBISD Student Handbook:
"For the safety and protection of our students, transportation changes will not be taken over the phone. All transportation changes must be in writing and sent with your child in the morning to your child’s teacher. The note must include the date of the change; the child’s name; the parent’s name; and a phone contact, should there be any questions. A parent signature is required on the note..” Page H-4 in the SBISD Student Handbook – SBISD procedure that must be followed!!
An emailed message cannot be accepted as the SBISD Student Handbook says “in writing and sent to the teacher with the student in the morning”.
